We held our first Bassoon Day in 2019, which morphed into Double Reed Day in 2021. This year, we are thrilled to present Longy Reed Day, hosted by Longy Faculty members Jonathan Cohler and Rane Moore, clarinets; Kemp Jernigan, oboe; Geoffrey Landman, saxophone; and Nanci Belmont and Rachael Elliott, bassoons. Join us for an exciting day of exploration and discovery!

• RAFFLE including prizes from Forrests Music and Virtuosity Musical Instruments

Join us for an inspiring day of performing and learning about all things double reed! Participate in masterclasses, workshops and play in the Double Reed Band from the comfort of your home. Our faculty recital includes a diverse array of new & recent works for bassoon, oboe, 2 bassoons, and bassoon & electronics. Best of all, we’ll be performing live (and livestreaming) from Longy’s renowned Pickman Hall.
